Job summary

Bank of China in New York seeks an Associate to support SME and corporate lending, post-lending activities, and underwriting. You will develop loan analyses and recommendations, aiming to grow the branch’s corporate banking footprint and deliver strong client service.

The role requires knowledge of corporate banking products, collaboration with risk/compliance teams, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to maintain risk controls and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or above, preferred major in Finance, Economics, Accounting or relevant fields.
• Minimum 4 years of general corporate and commercial banking and lending experience.
• Moderate knowledge of financial analysis and credit underwriting (primarily in CRE lending business).
• Sound knowledge of due diligence process, regulatory and compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
• Bilingual ability in Mandarin and English required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with business development in general corporate banking and credit; expand client base.
• Support post-lending tasks: monitor financials, collect documents, draft annual/quarterly reviews.
• Underwrite loan businesses and present to Bank Committee for approval.
• Conduct market/industry research to identify opportunities in corporate banking.
• Assist to promote cross-sell of corporate banking products and services.
• Coordinate with Credit Risk, Operations, and QC to manage risks and ensure compliance.
