Job summary

Bank of China Limited, New York Branch seeks a banking professional to support SME and corporate lending activities, oversee post-lending tasks, and assist in underwriting while maintaining regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes client onboarding, market analysis, and cross-selling corporate services.

You will work with the Credit Risk, Operations, and BSA/KYC teams to manage risk and ensure timely, accurate loan processes for non-CRE sector clients in a busy New York Branch setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting or relevant fields.
• Minimum 4 years of general corporate and commercial banking and lending experience.
• Moderate knowledge of financial analysis and credit underwriting (primarily CRE lending).
• Sound knowledge of due diligence process, regulatory and compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
• Bilingual ability in Mandarin and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand the Branch’s general corporate banking and credit businesses by implementing pre-set strategies.
• Assist onboarding of new customers and coordination with New Account Team and BSA/KYC Team.
• Underwrite loans for the commercial (non-CRE) sector; analyze creditworthiness and prepare reports for credit approval.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities in corporate banking and commercial credit.
• Collaborate with risk, operations and QC teams to manage post-lending tasks and monitor performance.
• Promote cross-sell of corporate products and ensure proactive customer relationship management.
