Blykalla is seeking an Export Control Manager to build and lead its U.S. export and import control program from Austin, Texas. You will determine regulatory jurisdiction, manage licensing, and ensure compliance across borders for nuclear-related equipment, software and technology.

You will collaborate with Blykalla AB’s team in Sweden, align US and Swedish requirements, and work closely with leadership to shape a growing international nuclear business. This on‑site role reports to the CEO.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience managing U.S. export controls, including classification, licensing, technology transfers and compliance program implementation.
• Experience applying DOE Part 810 and/or NRC Part 110, with a strong understanding of the EAR.
• Knowledge of import and customs requirements, sanctions screening and foreign-national access controls.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical decisions for engineers and leadership.

Responsabilités

• Own export control decisions by classifying equipment, materials, software and tech and documenting decision bases.
• Exercise delegated authority to approve or stop transfers and escalate complex matters to CEO and counsel.
• Build and operate the US compliance program covering DOE/NRC/EAR and sanctions regimes.
• Coordinate transfers with Blykalla AB and partners in Sweden, other EU countries and Canada.
• Embed export controls into design reviews, procurement planning and project execution.
• Monitor regulatory developments and coordinate with regulators on submissions and follow‑ups.
