Job summary

TechOp Solutions is seeking an Export Control Specialist to support the review and classification of technologies, items, and services and help ensure compliance with export regulations.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on export compliance experience with ITAR, EAR, USML, and OFAC, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to work independently in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of export compliance experience with ITAR, EAR, USML, and ECCNs.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain regulatory info clearly.

Responsibilities

• Independently classify items, services, and technologies under ECCNs and USML categories.
• Identify applicable export exemptions and licensing requirements.
• Prepare assessments, briefings, technical evaluations, and regulatory interpretations.
• Maintain compliance databases, documenting review findings and supporting information.
• Develop and update training materials and outreach products.
• Provide technical and programmatic input to reviews and policy development.
