Job summary

Harbor Freight is seeking an Export Clerk to join our busy export operations team. The role focuses on monitoring emails, coordinating with customers and truckers, and maintaining accurate cargo records in our Cargo Manager system.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in logistics or warehousing, strong Excel and Outlook skills, and excellent communication and organizational abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job DescriptionHarbor Freight is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Export Clerk to join our busy export operations team.We operate in a fast-paced warehouse and transportation environment and are looking for someone who can multitask, communicate effectively, and handle daily responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency.The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or warehousing industry and be comfortable working in a high-volume office.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor, read, and respond to emails regarding export shipments, customer inquiries, and daily operations.Communicate with customers, truckers, warehouse staff, and internal departments to coordinate export shipments.Enter and maintain accurate cargo records in our Cargo Manager warehouse management system.Process cargo received by the warehouse, ensuring all shipment information and documentation is entered correctly.Assist with driver check-in and check-out procedures when necessary.Review shipment documentation for accuracy and completeness.Track shipment statuses and provide updates to customers as needed.Maintain organized electronic records and shipment files.Assist with resolving shipment discrepancies and daily operational issues.Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum 2 years of experiencein logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or warehouse operations required.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable handling a high volume of emails and daily shipment activity.Strong computer and data entry skills.Ability to work independently while also being a team player.Reliable, punctual, and willing to assist wherever needed.Experience with Cargo Manager or similar warehouse management systems is a plus.Knowledge of export documentation and shipping procedures is preferred.What We're Looking ForWe are a very busy operation and need someone who is proactive, dependable, and able to keep up with the demands of the logistics industry.
