Job summary

• 2+ years of U.S. freight forwarding experience, preferably in export operations.
• Strong knowledge of international export procedures and documentation.
• Experience coordinating with carriers, truckers, warehouses and overseas agents.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with CargoWise or another freight forwarding system is preferred.
• Air and/or ocean export experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage export shipments from booking through departure and final documentation
• Coordinate with steamship lines, airlines, truckers, warehouses and overseas agents
• Prepare and process export documentation, including BOLs, commercial invoices, packing lists and shipping instructions
• Book shipments with carriers and coordinate routing, space and schedules
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or operational issues
• Prepare and send arrival/departure notices and other customer documentation
• Ensure shipments are handled in accordance with U.S. export regulations and company procedures
• Coordinate with customers, overseas offices and international agents to ensure smooth shipment execution
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update the company's TMS/forwarding system
• Review and process freight invoices and assist with billing where required
• Provide professional customer service and regular shipment updates
• Work closely with internal operations, sales and management teams
