Job summary

Suburban Inns is seeking an Expo to prepare all food items according to local health standards and company policies at our Midland, MI location. You will set up, expedite, and plate items, while ensuring portions, presentation, and sanitation meet standards.

This role offers growth opportunities and a strong benefits package for full-time staff. The position requires a HS diploma, at least 1 year of full-service restaurant experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year full-service restaurant experience.
• ServSafe Food and Allergen Certification preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and organization skills.
• Ability to interpret information and perform arithmetic functions.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly manner and connect to make them feel welcome.
• Expedite items according to standardized recipes.
• Set up service units with needed items.
• Serve items with established portions and presentation standards.
• Notify Kitchen Manager of shortages.
• Ensure work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary.
• Set up, maintain, and break down Expo station.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Follow Suburban Inns processes.
• Exhibit regular attendance and perform other duties as requested by management.
