Job summary

Ruby Tuesday in Canton, MI is seeking an Expo team member to ensure timely food preparation and accurate guest orders for TueGo, catering, dining room and bar areas. You will communicate with service and heart-of-house teams to expedite orders and maintain quality standards.

Must be 18+, no prior experience required, and able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Strong guest service, multi-tasking and attention to detail are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
• Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling and serving techniques and with federal, state and local serving regulations.
• Ability to operate a computer, phone and other office equipment.
• Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills.
• Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Kitchen Display System (KDS) to maintain service flow and prep items to spec.
• Ensure highest quality prep and presentation; keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold.
• Organize table orders in expo area per tickets.
• Complete side work and station maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area before, during, and after shifts.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Manage re-cooks and allergen orders; handle special orders.
• Expedite food for TueGo, Catering, dining room, and bar areas.
• Maintain a friendly attitude and support a team-based environment.
• Assist service team to create new and repeat business and avoid complaints.
