Job summary

Weston Solutions, Inc. seeks an experienced UXO Technician II to identify and classify unexploded ordnance and discarded munitions while excavating and moving munitions deemed safe for movement.

You will perform duties of UXO Sweep Personnel and a UXO Technician I, and ensure proper storage, accurate field positioning, and safe holding areas on-site. Responsibilities include supervising field operations, escorting non-UXO personnel within exclusion zones, and inspecting MEC for hazards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or military EOD experience; relevant for contracted operation.
• Formal UXO training or EOD assistant courses required.
• Underwater NAVSCOLEOD training completed (basic and underwater portions).

Responsibilities

• Identify and classify UXO and DMM and their fuses in the field.
• Excavate and move munitions acceptable for movement per safety guidelines.
• Perform responsibilities of UXO Sweep Personnel and UXO Technician I.
• Store explosive materials properly following guidance.
• Determine field locations using GPS, maps, and compass.
• Prepare on-site holding areas for MEC with acceptable risk.
• Escort non-UXO personnel within exclusion areas.
• Inspect MPPEH for explosives hazards.
