Job summary

Jobvite, Inc. is seeking an UXO Technician II to identify and classify unexploded ordnance (UXO) and discarded munitions (DMM) in field operations. You will prepare on-site holding areas, store explosives safely, and supervise UXO Sweep personnel as needed.

Responsibilities include locating field positions with GPS and maps, escorting personnel within exclusion zones, and inspecting MPPEH for hazards. A high school diploma with EOD experience and NAVSCOLEOD training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus prior military EOD experience or three years in response munitions actions.
• Graduate of formal UXO training or EOD assistant courses required.
• Underwater detection/identification training (NAVSCOLEOD or foreign equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and classify UXO and DMM and their fuses in field operations.
• Store explosive materials per applicable guidance and maintain holding areas.
• Determine field locations using GPS, maps and compass.
• Escort non-operational personnel within exclusion areas when needed.
• Inspect MPPEH for explosives safety hazards.
