Job summary

Weston Solutions, Inc. seeks an UXO Technician II to identify and classify unexploded ordnance and discarded munitions, and to excavate and move munitions approved for movement. The role demands prior EOD or UXO training and NAVSCOLEOD credentials, with the ability to work in field conditions across the United States.

Expect responsibilities including supervision of UXO Sweep personnel, escort of non-operational staff within exclusion zones, and on-site safety inspections of MEC and MPPEH.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with EOD experience.
• Formal UXO training or EOD assistant courses required.
• NAVSCOLEOD basic and underwater training completed.
• Ability to apply general safety and explosive handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Identify and classify UXO and DMM and their fuses in the field.
• Perform excavation and movement of munitions approved for movement.
• Conduct field collection procedures to identify contaminated soil.
• Store explosive materials per applicable guidance.
• Escort non-operational personnel within exclusion areas.
• Supervise UXO Sweep Personnel and coordinate logistics.
• Determine field locations using GPS, maps, and compass.
• Inspect MPPEH for explosives safety hazards.
