Job summary

Allied Universal Enhanced Protection Services is hiring an Explosive Detection Canine (K9) Handler. The role partners with a trained K9 to conduct searches at client sites including corporate buildings and delivery vehicles. A minimum of two years in military, law enforcement or corrections is required, with paid training provided.

Hourly pay is $30.10 and a canine stipend is offered. Must have a personal vehicle for K9 transport and housing for the K9 partner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Two years in service in military, law enforcement or corrections.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a trained Explosive Detection K9 to conduct searches at client sites.
• Liaise with client security, law enforcement and local partners on security protocols.
• Properly train the Explosive Detection K9 daily and ensure safety.
• Adhere to all regulatory protocols and required technology.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
