Job summary

Safe Air Technology, Inc. in Port Allen, LA is seeking an HVAC Mechanical Assembly Technician to support the assembly and modification of our custom HVAC/R systems. This hands-on role works under direct supervision in our manufacturing facility.

You will read work instructions and blueprints, use hand, power, and pneumatic tools, lift up to 50 lbs, and troubleshoot client maintenance issues as needed. Pay is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn to read blueprints.
• Ability to use hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly, manufacturing, and modification of custom HVAC/R systems
• Follow work instructions, blueprints, and manufacturing procedures to complete assembly and test operations
• Work from routings, instruction sheets, visual aids, and other production documents
• Take direction from a supervisor, lead person, or scheduling tool to complete work assignments
• Keep the work area clean and organized and package products for shipment
• Troubleshoot and repair client maintenance issues as needed at higher experience levels
• Perform other duties as assigned
