Job summary

Safe Air Technology, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA, is seeking a Testing and Troubleshooting Technician to test and validate mission-critical HVAC systems before shipment.

You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control issues, run startup procedures, and ensure equipment meets performance specs. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HVAC/electrical troubleshooting experience, reads schematics, and can work with engineering and production to implement fixes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC and electrical troubleshooting experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Strong working knowledge of compressors, coils, fans and controls.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and ability to read schematics.
• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of HVAC units, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Verify system performance against design specifications and operational requirements.
• Execute start-up procedures and ensure all components are operating correctly.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
• Troubleshoot PLC controls, wiring, and HVAC components to identify root causes.
• Work with engineering and production to resolve defects and implement corrections.
• Document test results, issues, and corrective actions clearly and accurately.
• Support FAT and field troubleshooting as needed.
