Job summary

AAON, Inc. is seeking an HVAC assembly technician to join a production team responsible for assembling and installing sub-assemblies on commercial HVAC products.

This role involves evacuating nitrogen with gauges, securing hoses, installing gauges, and conducting refrigerant charging while maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has at least a HS diploma or GED and some industry experience; Universal Refrigerant Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months industry experience or equivalent preferred.
• Universal Refrigerant Certification required; AAON training provided.

Responsibilities

• Evacuates nitrogen charge using refrigerant gauges.
• Selects and secures vacuum hoses to unit.
• Installs vacuum gauges and pulls unit to AAON-approved micron level.
• Removes vacuum hose and initiates refrigerant charge.
• Sets unit charge at pump controls and starts charge.
• Checks oil in pumps to maintain proper level.
• Locate and secure parts for assemblies to meet production goals.
• Train new employees as needed.
