Qualifications

• Retail meat cutting experience.
• Completion of WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Understanding of health, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products.
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise.
• Checks product to meet quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Arrives on time and ready to work; participates in trainings.
• Delivers excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintains clean working environment and equipment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
