Job summary

Royal American in Memphis is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to preserve and upkeep apartment properties. Under supervision, you will perform a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and safety compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and the ability to read manuals and follow safety procedures. You will work day, night, and weekend shifts, with local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must know HVAC units and troubleshoot as needed.
• Read and understand written service requests and reports.
• Follow manuals and regulations for safety and procedures.
• Use tools and equipment for maintenance tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA standards and safety policy.
• Complete hazard assessments before tasks.
• Use proper safety equipment for hazardous tasks.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and work orders.
• Participate in standby emergency schedule.
• Perform routine maintenance per manufacturers' manuals.
• Inspect units/buildings and perform repairs and janitorial tasks.
• Maintain grounds according to procedures.
• Provide training to colleagues as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor daily.
• Report unusual circumstances promptly.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
