Job summary

Capital Solutions Group in Fort Meade, Maryland seeks an Expert Network Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance and polygraph. You will design, install, and optimize enterprise networking and security infrastructure across datacenter and WAN environments.

Responsibilities include hands-on deployment of routers, switches, load balancers, VPNs, and security devices, plus creating diagrams and presenting to management. DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, or 15+ years of equivalent experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification is required.
• 10+ years of demonstrable network engineering experience in LAN, security, and data center design.
• Experience with Cisco routers/switches, firewalls, VPN/IPsec, and datacenter networking.
• Ability to design, implement, and optimize enterprise security architectures.

Responsibilities

• Physical installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices (Cisco-based).
• Provide expert level support for network infrastructure including datacenter components.
• System level design and architecture of enterprise security, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN.
• Lead enterprise boundary and datacenter architecture and design.
• Create system diagrams and present high-level briefs to management; proficient with packet capture tools.

LOCATION: Ft. Meade, Maryland

JOB DESCRIPTION

• (U) Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)
• (U) Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices.
• (U) Expert level support to include physical installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of network routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices (Cisco- based).
• (U) Experienced in system level design and architecture of enterprise security, datacenter virtualization, and CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure.
• (U) Expert security enterprise boundary and datacenter architecture and design
• (U) Create system diagrams and present high-level presentations to management. Experienced in packet capture software.

LCAT QUALIFICATIONS

CERTIFICATION: DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification

EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree + 10 years minimum experience, OR
• No Degree + 15 years minimum experience, OR
• Ten (10) years demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection.
• Must have datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks.
• Five (5) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

NOTE: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
