Job summary

RSS Mobile Trailer Repair in Fridley, MN is hiring a Yard Driver to move 53 ft. trailers safely within our warehouse, dock areas, and parking zones. You will operate yard tractors, back trailers, and position them for loading while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

This full-time role offers a starting wage of $27 per hour, with raises after 90 days and after one year, paid time off, holidays, and a 401(k) plan. No CDL is required, and shift times run Saturday through Monday from 6 PM to 6 AM.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Basic yard tractor operations, dropping and pulling trailers in dock doors and parking them onsite.
• Safely maneuver and back semi-trailers.
• Safely enter/exit semi-trailer multiple times an hour, place and remove wheel chocks, lift and open doors.
• Follow safety procedures.

About The Job

The Yard Driver is responsible for moving 53 ft. semi-trailers safely within the warehouse. This includes navigating tight spaces, moving trailers in and out of loading docks and parking spots. The ideal candidate would possess a high level of special awareness, be proficient in operating tractor trailers, and always prioritize safety.

• Full time work
• $27/hour starting pay, based on shift
• Pay increase after 90 days and 1 year of employment (based on performance/attendance)

Shifts

• Saturday-Monday: 6PM-6AM.

Job Description

• Primary tasks will be basic yard tractor operations, dropping and pulling trailers in dock doors and parking them onsite.
• Safely maneuver and back semi-trailers.
• Safely enter/exit semi-trailer multiple times an hour, place and remove wheel chocks, lift and open doors.
• Follow safety procedures.
• OT after 40 hours at paid time and half.
• Home Daily-never leave the yard!
• No loading/unloading merchandise.
• Truck driving preferred but not required.
• No CDL required!
