Job summary

Aspen Grove Veterinary Care in Fort Collins, Colorado is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our busy small animal practice. We offer flexible full-time or part-time schedules and a competitive starting pay of $19–$25 per hour.

Work includes assisting veterinarians, monitoring anesthesia, running in-house diagnostics, imaging, and caring for hospitalized patients.

As a Veterinary Assistant or RVT at Aspen Grove Veterinary Care, you’ll work closely with our veterinarians and support team to provide high‑quality medicine and an outstanding experience for our clients.

Depending on your experience, training, credentials, and applicable scope of practice, responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Monitoring anesthesia and supporting surgical procedures
  • Running in‑house diagnostics and laboratory testing
  • Assisting with diagnostic imaging
  • Supporting digital radiography and dental radiography
  • Caring for hospitalized patients
  • Monitoring patients and communicating changes to the medical team
  • Preparing patients and treatment areas for procedures
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough medical notes
  • Supporting efficient patient flow throughout the hospital
  • Communicating professionally and compassionately with clients
  • Providing an outstanding client experience
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and well‑stocked treatment areas
