Job summary

Steel Ceilings, a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, is seeking an experienced Amada Turret Press Operator. You will set up, operate, and maintain turret punch presses to produce sheet-metal components that meet schedules and quality standards.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, precision setup, and independent troubleshooting for run quality and process improvements. A safety-focused, team-oriented environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC turret presses or similar sheet-metal equipment.
• Ability to read work orders, drawings, and basic prints.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain Amada turret press equipment per specs.
• Perform in-process inspections and basic troubleshooting during runs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to safety policies.
• Load tooling, align material, and verify program revision and settings.
• Track production quantities, downtime, scrap, and material usage.
• Communicate issues to supervisor and escalate as needed.
