Job summary

CLA is hiring an Experienced Tax Associate to service clients in our Southern Minnesota offices, including Mankato, Austin, New Ulm, Owatonna and Rochester. The role focuses on preparing and reviewing tax returns, addressing client questions, and collaborating with the tax team.

Required: Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance; CPA eligibility preferred; 1 year of experience; ability to travel. Compensation range in Minnesota is provided, with competitive wages and growth opportunities at CLA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred (prior experience via internship(s) may be acceptable).
• Ability to travel to client sites

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns with the tax team. Handle routine client tax questions and work with client to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance.
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed.
• Have the ability to prepare simple tax returns.
• Develop and train team interns to help them build inspired careers.
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results.
