Job summary

CLA is hiring an Experienced Tax Associate to service clients in our Southern Minnesota offices, including Mankato, Austin, New Ulm, Owatonna and Rochester. The role focuses on preparing and reviewing tax returns, performing tax research, and mentoring interns.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, CPA eligibility preferred, and 1 year of experience; travel to client sites required. CLA offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred (prior internship experience may be acceptable).
• Ability to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns with the tax team.
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed.
• Have the ability to prepare simple tax returns.
• Develop and train team interns to help them build inspired careers.
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results.
