Grassland Dairy Products, Inc. is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to start from layout and fit-up through final weld and installation. You will maintain high standards for food quality, productivity and safety in a non-entry level role.

The ideal candidate has a proven trades background in stainless steel piping, reads blueprints and piping schematics, and works with minimal supervision. Industrial maintenance and field measurements experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong background in food-grade stainless welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, and modify plant equipment and piping while meeting safety and quality standards.
• Independently perform pipe layout, measurement, fit-up, fabrication, and installation.
• Identify and correct fit-up and welding problems with minimal supervision.
• Follow welding procedures, quality requirements, and safety practices.
• Read, interpret, and apply blueprints and piping schematics.

7:00 am - 3:30 pm

We are looking for someone who can be trusted to take a piping assignment from layout and fit-up through final weld and installation while maintaning high standards for food quality, productivity and safety.

This is not an entry-level welding positoin, we need a strong background in food grade stainless welding and fabrication. We are looking for a proven tradesperson who can fit, fabricate and weld industrial piping systems with minimal supervision. Qualified candidates should have be capable of working from blueprints, piping schematics and field measurements. Ideal canddiate will also have experience with industrial maitenance and troubleshooting.

Schedule

7:00 am - 3:30 pm

5 day work week. Monday - Friday and every other weekend (Saturday, Sunday). One set day off during each week.

Pay

$28 - $37 Dependent on Experience; Review in 90-days; $2,000 Hire Bonus; Double time Sundays

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Utilize welding and metal fabrication skills to fabricate, repair, and modify plant equipment, structures, and components, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and food manufacturing standards.
• High standards for workmanship, accuracy, and safety.
• Ability to independently perform pipe layout, measurement, fit-up, fabrication and insallation.
• Ability to identify and correct fit-up and welding problems without constant supervison.
• Knowledge of applicable welding procedures, quality requirements and industrial safety practices.
• Strong understanding of piping components, fittings, flanges, valves, supports and filed installation practices.
• Ability to read, inerpret and apply blueprints, piping schematics and field measurements
