Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join our team. In this role, you will work in various industrial settings. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and ensure pipe is correctly prepared to make an X-ray quality weld
• Complete welds in shop and field in all positions
• Use a variety of hand and power tools
• Work with other construction professionals to complete projects
• Follow all safety guidelines
• Complete all welds in a timely manner

Employment requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pipe Welder
• Have own tools available for daily use, including Stinger, Tig Rig, regulator, welding hood, and bucket
• Ability to pass 2-inch Schedule 80 6G pipe test in carbon and stainless steel
• High School Diploma or equivalent (experience may be substituted for education)
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Possess current, valid driver’s license (not under suspension or limitation)
• Have the transportation means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests throughout employment

Job qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
• Knowledge of how mechanical equipment works
• Knowledge of all relevant health and safety guidelines
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting heavy objects and withstanding temperature extremes found in boilers, paper machines, manufacturing facilities, etc.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime during afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed
