Job summary

Jack Giambalvo Mazda is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician with a Pennsylvania Inspection License for our new state-of-the-art Mazda facility in York, PA. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles to Mazda standards.

Qualifications

• Previous professional automotive service technician experience required.
• Valid Pennsylvania State Inspection License required.
• Pennsylvania Emissions License preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and general mechanical skills.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to read and understand technical instructions and repair information.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Good judgment, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy
• Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and complete necessary repairs
• Examine vehicles to identify additional safety, maintenance, or service needs
• Communicate additional repair needs to the Service Advisor promptly
• Work closely with the Parts Department to obtain necessary parts
• Properly document all work performed
• Road test vehicles when required
• Perform Pennsylvania state safety and emissions inspections as licensed
• Assist with and oversee the work of apprentice technicians when assigned
• Attend factory-sponsored training and stay current on technical bulletins and repair procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding vehicle repair and hazardous materials
• Maintain dealership-owned tools and equipment responsibly

What You'll Do

As an experienced Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles in accordance with dealership and Mazda factory standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy

The Environment

This is a hands-on, physically demanding position. Technicians spend much of their day standing, bending, reaching, kneeling, and working with hand and power tools. The position may involve lifting parts and equipment up to 50 pounds and exposure to shop noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other automotive-related materials.
