Job summary

Jack Giambalvo Family of Dealerships in York, PA is seeking a motivated Service Technician to join the Giambalvo Hyundai team. You will diagnose and repair vehicles, communicate with parts, and ensure safety and quality during road-tests.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive service technician experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• ASE certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to read and interpret repair instructions and technical information.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Solid work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
• Manual dexterity and good judgment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and perform work in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and complete repairs accurately and efficiently
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary components
• Inspect vehicles for additional safety or maintenance needs and report findings to the service advisor
• Clearly document all work performed and services recommended
• Road-test vehicles as needed to verify repairs and ensure quality
• Supervise and support apprentice technicians as assigned
• Stay up to date with Hyundai systems, tools, and factory technical bulletins
• Attend manufacturer training and continue developing technical skills
• Maintain cleanliness and care of customer vehicles
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials
