Job summary

Hennessy Honda of Woodstock is seeking an Experienced Service Advisor to join our service department. You will be the liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring an excellent service experience and repeat business.

Greet customers, listen to symptoms, inspect vehicles, prepare repair orders, explain estimates, and maintain detailed vehicle records. Honda/Acura experience preferred; background and drug screen required; valid GA driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive service advisor experience.
• Honda and/or Acura experience preferred.
• Must submit to a background and drug screen.
• Maintain a valid Georgia driver\'s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Prior experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the lane and perform a walk-around of the vehicle upon arrival.
• Acknowledge automotive problems and services needed by listening to the customer’s description of symptoms; clarify description of problems; conduct vehicle inspection with the customer; take test drives when needed; check vehicle maintenance records; answer service calls and schedule appointments when needed.
• Prepare repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered as well as repairs and services required; obtain approval signatures and enter repair orders into the Reynolds & Reynolds system correctly and promptly.
• Establish and maintain customer relations by explaining estimates and expected completion time; obtain customer’s approval of estimates and repairs; record contact information; answer questions and concerns that arise; arrange towing and temporary transportation as needed.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage; explain provisions and exclusions in detail to customers.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies and labor; calculate customer’s payment, including deductibles.
• Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
• Update job and product knowledge as required by Hennessy or the manufacturer.
• Communicate professionally and provide updates on customer repairs as needed to technicians and the parts department.
