Job summary

Vail Resorts in Ludlow, VT invites you to join our Food and Beverage team for the 2026/2027 winter season. As a Restaurant Leader you will oversee floor service, support management, promote teamwork, and ensure service quality and safety for an exceptional dining experience.

Starting wages range from $22.00 to $29.22 per hour, with full-time hours available and housing options. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, restaurant or supervisory experience, and be able to stand for

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous restaurant, supervisory or guest service experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to all guest needs in the restaurant ensuring responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
  • Answer phones and radios, maintain dining areas and assist with setup/busing of tables.
  • Work on floor or in kitchen as needed to ensure smooth operation.
  • Act as supervisor in the absence of a chef, including payroll and attendance management.
  • Assist in ongoing training of staff and provide feedback.
  • Enforce all health and safety regulations for restaurant employees and guests.
  • Ensure cleanliness and operation of restaurant and equipment through preventative maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Restaurant Leaders are an integral part of restaurant operations responsible for leading the floor service, assisting management with operational needs, promoting teamwork amongst staff and maintaining service quality and safety to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on the floor or in the kitchen, wherever needed, to ensure smooth operation
  • Act as supervisor in the absence of a chef, including managing payroll and attendance
  • Assists in the ongoing training of staff and provides any necessary feedback
  • Enforce and comply with all applicable regulations pertaining to health and safety requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests
  • Ensure cleanliness and operation of restaurant and equipment through inspection and adherence to preventative maintenance programs
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Previous restaurant, supervisory or guest service experience required
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast‑paced environment under pressure

The expected pay range is $22.00/hr - $29.22/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
