Job summary

DBM Global in Lindon, UT is seeking a QC Inspector to ensure weld quality and dimensional accuracy of shop fabrication. You will inspect final welds, paint, and conform materials to drawings, standards, and codes, recording inspection results for QA and production control.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma, 3+ years of related inspection experience, and knowledge of AWS/AISC codes; AWS-CWI preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of related inspection experience.
• CAWI, AWS-CWI, SCWI, or CWB preferred.
• Knowledge of AISC and AWS Structural Welding Codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform a dimensional and visual inspection of shop fabrication, including final welds and paint inspections.
• Record and maintain in-process and final inspection records for QA and production control.
• Identify and remedy drawing discrepancies with detailers.
• Coordinate with customers' inspectors during inspection phases.
• Inform foremen of defects in fabrication.
• Assist shop personnel with interpretation of codes, drawings and specifications.
