Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Verifiable trade training may substitute for one year of experience.
• AWS-CWI/CAWI/SCWI or CWB preferred or equivalent experience in metals fabrication and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspection of shop fabrication, including final welds and paint inspections.
• Ensure fabricated materials conform to drawings, standards, and codes; document inspection records.
• Identify and remedy drawing discrepancies with detailers and coordinate with customers' inspectors.
• Inform foremen of defects and assist with interpretation of codes and drawings.
• Assist shop personnel with the interpretation of codes, drawings, and specifications.
