Job summary

Central States Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Welding Inspector/WQC to uphold quality standards across welds and raw materials.

You will perform dimensional and visual inspections, read welding symbols, and utilize gauges and ultrasonic testers to ensure compliance with shop drawings and welding procedures. Roles require 2 years of welding or welding inspection experience, with AWS/CAWI/CWIIAS S2 certifications desirable.

Qualifications

• 2 years welding and/or welding inspection experience.
• AWS CAWI or CWI and IAS S2 certifications desirable.
• Ability to read drawings and welding symbols.
• Lift/move materials up to 55 lbs and work around machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional checks and visual weld inspection of welds.
• Utilize gauges and ultrasonic testing equipment for quality checks.
• Update records and adhere to procedures.
• Support welders and participate in quality control.
• Work at job sites and be on call as needed.
