Job summary

THERAPY 2000 in Amarillo, TX seeks an Experienced Physical Therapist PRN/Part Time to join a mission-driven team providing home-based pediatric therapy. You will conduct comprehensive PT evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and coordinate care with families and other providers in the child’s home.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of pediatric PT experience, home-health exposure, bilingual English/Spanish, and relevant specialty certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a pediatric Physical Therapist.
• Experience in a home-health setting.
• Specialty certifications (e.g., PCS).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pediatric physical therapy evaluations using standardized tests.
• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physician orders.
• Develop home exercise programs with caregivers.
• Collaborate with other providers and coordinate care.
• Complete a minimum number of patient visits weekly as required.
• Meet deadlines for chart updates, progress summaries, call logs and all paperwork.
• Adhere to agency policies and local laws for home-health pediatric PT.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• -Perform comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• -Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physician orders.
• -Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• -Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
• -Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• -Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• -Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• -Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• -Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric physical therapy.
