Job summary

THERAPY 2000 in Texas is seeking an Experienced Occupational Therapist to join our mission-driven home-based pediatric team on a PRN/Part-Time basis. You will perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and help children grow and thrive in their own homes.

The role requires Texas OT licensure, 3+ years pediatric OT, and experience in home-health settings. You will coordinate with families and healthcare providers, travel between visits, and participate in continuing education as offered.

Qualifications

• Active Texas OT license.
• 3+ years pediatric OT experience.
• Experience in home-health setting.
• Certifications in feeding therapy or related specialties (high-risk infant, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs with patients’ caregivers.
• Collaborate with other providers and coordinate care for patients.
• Complete required weekly patient visits as scheduled.
• Meet deadlines for chart updates, progress summaries, logs, and paperwork.
• Attend agency meetings to understand expectations and standards.

Qualifications

• A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
  Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.
