Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with rigging and hoisting equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprint and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantles machines using hand tools.
• Moves machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Constructs foundations for machines using hand tools and materials.
• Aligns machines using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, and micrometers.
• Unloads, inspects and moves equipment using rigging and cranes.
• Understands load properties of cables, hoists, cranes and signals.
• Fits bearings, aligns gears and connects motors/belts.
• Performs precision leveling/measurement using calipers, squares and micrometers.
• Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
• Works within precise limits; lifts objects; detects hazards.
• Regular attendance; may travel.
