Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose patients with chronic and acute pain.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Order interventional pain procedures as appropriate.
• Conduct thorough history and physical exams.
• Order and interpret diagnostics (imaging, labs).
• Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances.
• Coordinate care with physicians and teams.
• Educate patients on pain management options and expectations.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic and acute pain conditions
• Order interventional pain management procedures that fit well with patient care plans
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history and physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and lab results relevant to pain management
• Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families on pain management strategies, treatment options, and expectations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system

Requirements:

• Active NP or PA license in the state of Arizona
• 2+ years of experience in pain management, anesthesia, or a related specialty preferred
• DEA license and ability to prescribe controlled substances
• Experience with interventional pain procedures is a strong plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient-centered bedside manner
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
