Virtuous Health Centers in Show Low, AZ seeks an experienced mid-level provider to join a pain management team. You will evaluate, diagnose, and manage treatment plans for chronic and acute pain, and coordinate interventional procedures.

The role requires an active AZ NP or PA license, a DEA license, and at least 2 years in pain management or a related field, with excellent communication and patient care skills. This is a collaborative, fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license in Arizona.
• 2+ years in pain management, anesthesia, or related field.
• DEA license to prescribe controlled substances.
• Experience with interventional pain procedures is a plus.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for chronic and acute pain.
• Order interventional pain procedures that fit patient care plans.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history and physicals.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and labs related to pain management.
• Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances, per regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on pain management options and expectations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR system.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic and acute pain conditions
• Order interventional pain management procedures that fit well with patient care plans
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history and physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and lab results relevant to pain management
• Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families on pain management strategies, treatment options, and expectations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system

Requirements:

• Active NP or PA license in the state of Arizona
• 2+ years of experience in pain management, anesthesia, or a related specialty preferred
• DEA license and ability to prescribe controlled substances
• Experience with interventional pain procedures is a strong plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient-centered bedside manner
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
