Job summary

Global Center Meats is seeking a skilled Meat Butcher to join our team in Minnesota. You will break down whole carcasses into retail-ready cuts and craft specialty products while upholding our premium standards.

You will trim, grind, and prepare cuts, manage display cases, and advise customers on cooking methods. This role requires 2–3 years of experience and familiarity with meat safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional meat-cutting or butchering experience in retail, grocery, or processing environment.
• Proficiency with band saws, grinders, tenderizers, vacuum sealers and knives.
• Ability to work in refrigerated environments (35F–40F) and lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Break down whole carcasses, primals, and subprimals into retail-ready cuts (beef, pork, lamb).
• Trim, tie, grind, and prepare specialized cuts, sausages, and value-added meats to shop standards.
• Manage and stock service cases, ensuring visual appeal, proper rotation, and clear labeling.
• Provide expert advice on cooking methods, flavor profiles, and custom cut requests to customers.
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, OSHA, and USDA standards; keep areas clean.
