Job summary

Boyne Mountain Resort is seeking a Line Cook to support our kitchen team in preparing food, setting up stations, and upholding Chef standards for quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include following food handling guidelines, measuring ingredients, stocking stations, coordinating with staff, operating equipment, tasting for proper cooking, plating and labeling, and completing closing procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for a high school diploma or GED.
• You are 18 years old or older.
• Previous kitchen experience preferred.
• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Preparing food according to food handling guidelines and cooking procedures.
• Measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipe or records for prep.
• Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food at line stations for smooth service.
• Coordinating production with cooks, wait staff and kitchen/food & beverage teams.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and safe operation.
• Adjusting thermostat controls to regulate oven and other equipment temperatures.
• Observing and testing foods by tasting, smell, and thermometer readings.
• Plating and portioning to match presentation specs and records.
• Labeling, dating and rotating stored food.
• Performing closing duties including cleaning, sanitation and organization of kitchen and storage areas.
