Job summary

Responsibilities include preparing and plating food from standardized recipes, maintaining sanitation, and meeting ticket times in a fast-paced setting. Experience as a line cook and ServSafe certification are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Six months of line cook experience required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Enrolled in or graduated from a culinary program preferred.
• Working knowledge of sanitation and Health Department rules and regulations.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to access all areas of the property.

Responsibilities

• Arrive for shift on time and in proper uniform.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation in work areas and equipment.
• Prepare, portion, cook and plate food according to restaurant standards.
• Produce from standardized recipes; use standard kitchen equipment.
• Ensure station is prepared to meet anticipated level of business for the day.
• Assist fellow staff as needed.
• Properly handle high volume cooking and plating while maintaining consistent quality.
• Consistently meet ticket time requirements.
• Expedite as needed.
• Must demonstrate proficient knowledge of basic cooking skills and techniques.
• Ability to safely handle kitchen tools and equipment, follow sanitation guidelines.
• Complete all paperwork in accordance with PGCB and Wind Creek Bethlehem standards.
