Job summary

Triple T Plumbing, Heating & Air is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our Topeka team. You will diagnose, repair and install residential and light commercial systems, educate customers, and own revenue-driving opportunities with accurate quotes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
• Customer-facing service and education of customers on systems.
• Ability to meet revenue and performance benchmarks.
• Valid driver's license and clean background/drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and install residential and light commercial HVAC systems (including multi-zone equipment).
• Educate customers on their systems, set clear expectations, and provide top-tier service.
• Identify sales opportunities, provide accurate quotes for enhancements, and meet performance benchmarks.
• Act as a trusted adviser to clients, explaining long-term value of high-efficiency equipment.
• Provide startups for residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, manager, parts, and installation teams.
• Coordinate with other trades and vendors as needed.
• Keep the company truck clean and stocked, align with parts teams.
• Participate in morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats.

What You'll Do:

• Diagnose, repair, and install residential and light commercial HVAC systems (including multi-zone equipment).

• Take ownership of individual revenue goals by identifying sales opportunities, providing accurate quotes for enhancements, and meeting performance benchmarks that drive company growth.
• Act as a trusted advisorto clients, explaining the long-term value of high-efficiency equipment versus ongoing repairs to help them make informed investment decisions.
• Provide startups for residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts, and installation teams.
• Coordinate with other service trades, contractors, clientele, and vendors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, stocked company truck and stay in sync with our parts teams.
• Participate in morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats.

What You Bring:

• 3+ years of HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
• EPA Universal / Type 2 Certification.
• Your own basic tools, gauges, and meters.
• A valid driver's license, a clean background/drug screen, and the desire to be better tomorrow than you are today.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Ability to frequently climb ladders, crawl into tight spaces (attics/crawlspaces), and stand or kneel for long periods.
• Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Capacity to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs independently and heavier equipment with assistance.
