Job summary

ABT Mechanical in Utah is seeking an Experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician. You will service residential and light commercial systems, performing quarterly and bi-annual visits to ensure comfort and reliability.

This role requires scheduling flexibility, on‑call rotations, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate has 1+ year HVAC experience, EPA/RMGA/NATE certifications, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in residential and/or commercial HVAC service/maintenance.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
• EPA and RMGA certifications are required or in progress.
• NATE Core and specialty certifications preferred.
• Experience with complex sheet metal fittings is beneficial.
• Willingness to invest in tools and training.
• Ability to work from extension and step ladders safely.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
• Strong communication with homeowners, supervisors and other trades.
• Leadership potential and responsibility in the role.
• Ability to operate scissor/genie lifts safely.

Scheduled Work Hours To Expect In this Role:

Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Some weekends, evenings, and overtime may be required based on customer needs. On-call/afterhours rotation is also a requirement of this role.

Your Responsibilities:

As an HVAC Entry Service/Maintenance Technician, you\'ll service and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems, performing visits quarterly and bi-annually. You\'ll play a key part in ensuring our clients\' comfort, and ensuring our client\'s HVAC systems are running optimally for the coming seasons, while upholding the high standards of quality and professionalism that have defined ABT Mechanical for several decades.

Skills Needed for this Role:

• 1+ year of experience in Residential and/or Commercial HVAC Service/Maintenance
• Valid Drivers License with an Insurable Driving Record
• EPA and RMGA Certifications
• N.A.T.E Core and Specialty Certifications (Or a strong willingness to obtain them)
• Experience with more Complex Sheet Metal Fittings
• Willingness to Invest in Tools and Service Training
• Ability to Work from Extension and Step Ladders
• Professional Appearance and Positive Attitude at All Times
• Strong Communication Skills with Homeowners, Supervisors, and Other Trades
• Leadership Potential and Responsibility in Your Role
• Ability to Operate Scissor Lifts and Genie Lifts Safely
• Experience with Service Titan Software is Preferred, but Not Required
