Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five years of prior work experience in a related field.
• Must possess valid Michigan Driver's License and be insurable under the hospital insurance program.
• Certification as a "Certified Healthcare Mechanic" preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of installation and maintenance work.
• Repairs woodwork, furniture, drywall and plaster demolition and installation.
• Inspects tools and machinery for defects and repairs.
• Prepares order forms for tools and supplies.
• Install and replace various locksets and other hardware for doors.
• Create rough plans for room renovation and repairs, and install/repair accordingly.
• Cuts and assembles metal studs for walls/doors/partitions.
• Install wall coverings and tile.
• Operate and maintain building management systems (METASYS).
• Diagnose and correct problems in the Translogic Tube System and related equipment.
• Perform other related duties as requested.
