Schlouch Incorporated, a leading site preparation contractor in Eastern PA, is seeking a Heavy Civil Estimator with 3-5 years of experience to join our growing team in Blandon, PA.

You will analyze plans, prepare cost estimates for earthwork, utilities, roads and infrastructure; perform quantity takeoffs, solicit quotes, and collaborate with project teams to track schedules. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of heavy civil estimating experience.
• Proficient in estimating software and project management tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Thorough understanding of heavy civil construction processes, materials, and methods.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans and specifications to identify opportunities and risks.
• Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for heavy civil projects including earthwork, utilities, roads, and infrastructure.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with project teams to establish and track schedules and milestones.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms, conditions, and pricing.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and address issues promptly.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies; stay informed about industry trends and regulations.
