Qualifications

• Previous heavy highway and civil construction estimating experience required.
• PennDOT and public works bidding experience strongly preferred.
• Experience estimating paving, excavation, utilities, drainage, concrete, roadway construction, and/or site development.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, production rates, labor, materials, and equipment costs.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience with construction estimating software.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, proposals, and contract documents
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and prepare comprehensive cost estimates
• Develop labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor pricing
• Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Analyze production rates, equipment requirements, and construction methods
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and constructability concerns
• Prepare accurate, complete, and competitive bids
• Participate in bid reviews with company leadership
• Assist with project handoff following award
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners
