  • Reviews and processes maintenance logs, documents, databases and related materials
  • Provides support on maintenance policies, programs and practices to staff and management
  • Assists in reviewing and implementing maintenance policies and programs to meet needs
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; escalates when required
  • Contributes to department efficiency by offering suggestions and participating in a team
  • Supports Pace mission with courteous, cooperative behavior with customers and staff

Facilities Specialist III Pace has an exciting full-time day shift opportunity for a Facilities Specialist to support our building operations.

Summary

Responsible for fundamental facilities systems maintenance including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, heating, cooling, lighting, sprinklers, and general facility maintenance (e.g., painting, general carpentry, as applicable). Have knowledge on fundamental maintenance support policies, programs and practices while completing appropriate forms, documents and databases. Commercial HVAC experience strongly preferred.

Essential Functions
  • Supervises Glassware Inventory and glass washing functions
  • Responsible for Stability Chamber maintenance
  • Provides a variety of maintenance services using fundamental technical and support knowledge covering multiple areas of maintenance, including basic electrical, carpentry, equipment, painting, equipment, and facility maintenance
  • Reviews, completes and processes various standard types of maintenance logs, documents, databases, and related materials and information
  • Provides fundamental support in the application and assistance to staff and management regarding maintenance policies, programs, and practices
  • Provides support researching issues and developing recommendations to resolve employee, management, and related maintenance issues
  • Assists in the review and implementation of maintenance policies, practices, and programs to meet operational, and management needs
  • Assists with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; receives guidance and direction or escalates when required
  • Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team
  • Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace® by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Previous maintenance experience is strongly preferred.

Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Commercial HVAC, Refrigerant Experience - NC License (Preferred, not required)
