Job summary

Pace Labs is seeking a Facilities Specialist III for a full-time day shift (M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm) to support building operations. The role involves maintenance of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, lighting and general facility operations across multiple systems.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, an Associate degree is preferred, and prior maintenance experience. A valid driver’s license and NC refrigerant/HVAC experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Commercial HVAC experience strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• NC HVAC Refrigerant experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Glassware Inventory and glass washing functions.
• Provides maintenance for Stability Chamber.
• Performs maintenance across electrical, carpentry, mechanical and facility systems.
• Reviews and processes maintenance logs, documents and databases.
• Supports maintenance policies and programs and assists staff and management.

Join our mission to continuously move science forward; to innovate and advance all aspects of our business to improve the health and safety of our communities and lives.Facilities Specialist IIIPace has an exciting full-time day shift opportunity for a Facilities Specialist to support our building operations.Summary:Responsible for fundamental facilities systems maintenance including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, heating, cooling, lighting, sprinklers, and general facility maintenance (e.g., painting, general carpentry, as applicable). Have knowledge on fundamental maintenance support policies, programs and practices while completing appropriate forms, documents and databases. Commercial HVAC experience strongly preferred.Essential Functions:Supervises Glassware Inventory and glass washing functionsResponsible for Stability Chamber maintenanceProvides a variety of maintenance services using fundamental technical and support knowledge covering multiple areas of maintenance, including basic electrical, carpentry, equipment, painting, equipment, and facility maintenance.Reviews, completes and processes various standard types of maintenance logs, documents, databases, and related materials and information.Provides fundamental support in the application and assistance to staff and management regarding maintenance policies, programs, and practices.Provides support researching issues and developing recommendations to resolve employee, management, and related maintenance issues.Assists in the review and implementation of maintenance policies, practices, and programs to meet organizational, operations and management needs.Assists with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; receives guidance and direction or escalates when required.Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
