Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in the United States is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator to support road maintenance and construction projects. You will handle a range of power construction equipment to excavate, move and grade material on diverse job sites.

The role requires intermediate experience, the ability to read and follow instructions, and a commitment to safety. Candidates should be prepared for varying hours and outdoor conditions and for performing related maintenance

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Knowledge of checking and maintaining fluid levels and lubrication.
Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

Operate vehicles and large heavy equipment to excavate, move and grade material.
Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
Trench and construct ditches for culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
Knowledgeable about checking and maintaining all fluid levels and lubrication.
May train employees in safe operation of construction equipment and tools and in job techniques.
Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify issues or defects.
