Job summary

Modern Support Services is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in LA and Orange Counties to empower individuals with I/DD through compassionate, person-centered care. You will work with a diverse team in flexible roles, including part-time and full-time shifts with weekend availability.

You’ll help clients access community activities, manage daily living needs, and attend medical appointments while promoting independence and self-advocacy.

Qualifications

• Be 21+ years old.
• Have reliable transportation and a valid CA Driver's License.
• Must pass a background check.
• Previous experience in human services is a plus.
• If you know American Sign Language, let us know!

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live more independently.
• Serve as a mentor, teacher, guide, and advocate for clients.
• Provide Community Access support and supervision.
• Assist with Personal Care tasks as needed.
• Accompany clients to Medical Appointments.
• Foster positive Peer Interactions and social participation.
• Support Recreational activities and community involvement.
