Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Equipment Technician to join a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment producing advanced semiconductor devices. The role emphasizes safe, efficient operation and hands-on equipment maintenance on the fab floor.

Required: high school diploma; strong analytical and mechanical skills; effective communication. This is a full-time, on-site position in Austin with competitive benefits and potential incentive opportunities based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Practice 6S in the office and fab, holding safety as the number 1 priority.
• Follow SOPs, PTPs, and OCAPs to work efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) including mechanical assembly/disassembly on fab equipment.
• Use structured problem solving to help find impactful solutions to complex problems.
• Effectively communicate with engineers, leaders, and teammates.
• Work in a team environment on the cleanroom floor in a full cleanroom smock.
• Work hours: A Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays.

Position Summary

• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) including mechanical assembly/disassembly on fab equipment.
• Use structured problem solving to help find impactful solutions to complex problems.
• Affectively communicate with engineers, leaders, and teammates.
• Work in a team environment on the cleanroom floor in a full cleanroom smock.
• Work hours: A Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays.

The current base salary range for this role is between $26.00 - $33.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
